A passion for accuracy and the desire to replicate production aircraft and their various modifications, led to the building of model kits specific to client specifications, with the exact markings and details of unusual types that are not normally available.
Clients include the SAAF, Henley Air, SAPS Airwing, Master Power Technologies, and numerous other clients.
Rexford Models was borne out of a love for aviation and the building of scale models.
Hobby Shop
With the demise of “the local hobby shop” and a limited offering of kits available, we started with scratch-built models that would otherwise not exist in 1:32 and 1:35 scale. These models are not only conversions of other kits but also completely new models.
Scale Built Models – Planes, Ships & Automobiles
Whilst aviation will always be a passion, we have also built a variety of ships and vehicles.
The maritime models are in 1:350 and 1:72 scale and showcase the level of detail that can be achieved once the skill set has been learned.
These models make a fantastic showpiece for any personal collector, office or pub to proudly display.
It should be noted that, due to the detail and number of parts, these builds take a little longer, but the results are well worth the wait.
The models that we build are mostly military, but we have also built cars specific to an owner, incorporating numerous details such as conversion to right-hand drive, interior carpeting, personalized number plates, and more.
For military vehicles, we have built many iterations for veterans who want a detailed replica of the vehicle they operated or worked on. We provide that specific attention to detail that holds a special place in their hearts during their service. Many models are also for collectors/historians looking for museum-quality items for their collections.
